Fr. Graham Writes:
"If you want peace, work for justice" said St Pope Paul VI. It is true that there cannot be peace without justice. Jesus says that He gives us a peace that the world cannot give, perhaps this is because He gives a justice that the world cannot give? The justice that He takes upon Himself on the cross. It is just that a sacrifice is offered to God to take away our sins and Jesus offers the perfect sacrifice in His own body and gives us perfect peace through right justice. God is not vengeful but True. It is "right and just" that we give Him thanks and praise. God cannot "keep silent" about injustice and neither should we. We all have our part to play as we are members of His body the Church that offers right justice through right worship in the Mass, the re-presenting of the same offering. We pray and we cry to God for justice for our brothers and sisters. We stand with confidence with Mary as we present Jesus with each problem of injustice. Jesus asks us "Why turn to me?" We have no-one else to turn to who can give us true peace and true justice for He is True God.
With my daily prayers for you all. God bless you always. Fr Graham"
