HM Queen Elizabeth II RIP

We pray for the soul of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and ask the Lord to receive her into His merciful presence. May she, and all the faithful departed, rest in peace. We pray for all who mourn and especially the members of the Royal Family. We ask Almighty God to bless King Charles III with His grace.
From Fr Graham
St Paul writes to Timothy as he reflects upon being called into the Lord's service. Being in the Lord's service is not just for apostles and monarchs. Queen Elizabeth signed off a letter as "your servant". Pope St Gregory the Great termed the phrase for the Pope, "Servant of the servants of God". Being a servant of God and of one another is for all Christians. The question is how.
Wherever we are placed, whatever our situation is to be the place of exercising humility and giving glory to God. In the eyes of God we are all equal and we are all sinners in need of God's grace and salvation. Only God can save the Queen. So, as we thank God for her faithfulness, out of love, we also pray for her soul.
Jesus speaks of the love of God that relentlessly seeks out the lost. He uses the parables of the lost sheep and the lost coin to show the extreme measures that God will go to. How God pursues the lost soul whether they are royalty or in poverty. In fact, God has sought us out in Christ and He waits for our return to Him as a prodigal child. The extreme measure is God becoming a male human being, dying and rising from the dead. He shows us perfect humility. He shows us true service. He shows us the perfect love of God. He is looking and waiting for you.
With my prayer for you all. God bless you. Fr Graham.
