Fr. Graham Writes: 10th March 2024
What a wonderful event our Fatima Day (last weekend) turned out to be. The World Apostolate of Fatima (E&W) came with the National Pilgrim Statue (Great Britain) and relics of the child saints. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make it happen and welcome so many people.
I was given a manual from our Diocesan Promoter and as I looked through it there was a picture of the final vision given to Sr Lucia in 1925. It was a vision of the Holy Trinity. In the vision, on the side, were the words (in capitals), "GRACE AND MERCY".
"God loved the world so much that He sent His only Son" and He is "generous with His mercy". It is through His grace that we are saved from the consequences of our sins. God still loves us. Despite our waywardness and stubbornness, He keeps calling and sending prophets, messages and even visions to bring us back to Him. As time (BC) pointed to Jesus and Him Crucified, so too do all the events since (AD). Jesus on the cross is the pivotal point in history. All prophesies and revelations refer to Him. To gaze upon Jesus lifted up on the cross and risen and lifted up to heaven is our purpose and reference point too. In everything we say and do
Jesus is hidden and lifted up. He sheds His light on everything, and its shadow is in the form of a cross.
With my prayer for you and your intentions.
God bless you.
Fr Graham
