Fr. Graham Writes
“The season of Easter allows us to contemplate more deeply what Jesus has done for us in His death and resurrection. In doing so we realise the love that God has for us and we want to respond by loving Him more and being sorry for our sins, which offend Him. How do we do this? This is what the Catechism of the Catholic Church says about this Easter Duty:
The Church obliges the faithful to take part in the Divine Liturgy on Sundays and feast days and, prepared by the sacrament of Reconciliation, to receive the Eucharist at least once a year, if possible, during the Easter season. But the Church strongly encourages the faithful to receive the holy Eucharist on Sundays and feast days, or more often still, even daily. (CCC 1389)
It is a duty but more of a desire!”
