Fr. Graham Writes
“The women went to the tomb to see a dead body. Despite everything that Jesus had told them, they didn't dare hope that Jesus might be risen. They had witnessed the true horror of someone they love die in a most violent and unjust manner. They were filled with grief, not hope. Arriving at the tomb the heavy stone removed and His body was not there. Imagine the confusion and despair. They couldn't even anoint His body. What happened next changed everything. This is the power of the resurrection of Jesus. It was uncontainable, it was a burst of energy that was equal to the energy of the first creation. God spoke and it came to be. This is the new creation, when all things have been made new and heaven is unlocked by the key of the cross. This resurrection life has been given to us. It is a power that sits quietly behind every act of faith, hope and love. Its power is not to be underestimated for it is the power that will raise our own bodies from the dead and raise our broken world from the tomb of self-destruction and disbelief. "He is not here" in the tomb anymore, "He is risen". He is risen and so He will be here always, until the end of time. With my daily prayers for you all for a blessed Easter. God bless you always. Fr Graham”
