Plans for the Sacred Triduum: Father Graham writes...
As mentioned at masses last weekend, as we move towards the implementation of the Diocesan Pastoral Plan and become a larger parish, on the scale of a deanery, I have decided to have one celebration of the Sacred Triduum in the parish this year and it will be at St Peter’s in Shoreham. I hope that this will mean that we can celebrate as a united parish of Our Lady Queen of Peace as the rubrics of the Missal describe.
I hope that people from all parts of the parish will be able to be involved in the liturgy. We need welcomers, volunteers for feet washing, readers, servers, people to keep watch (on Thursday evening), and singers.
This is an ideal opportunity to be involved, without the commitment of being on the usual rotas for things.
I’d like to have a team of people fully representing our wonderful parish. If you can help (including offering lifts to fellow parishioners), please email the office or leave a message 01273 452654. All are welcome.

Come and See: discussing The Sacred Triduum
Holy Week (Palm Sunday to Holy Saturday) is the most important week of the Christian year and within that The Sacred Triduum (Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Holy Saturday) are pivotal. These days embrace every human emotion, and the drama is not only put before us but we are captured in participating in them for real. We are not bystanders but participants.
All are welcome to the next session on Tuesday 1st April (starting at 7.30pm in the Parish Room at
St Peter’s), where the focus will be on The Sacred Triduum.
